A Cup Of Cappuccino
Traditionally prepared with double espresso, hot milk, and steamed milk foam this Italian coffee drink will give the energy you need to solve this new puzzle. 'Cappuccino' originated as the coffee beverage "Kapuziner" in the Viennese coffee houses in the 1700s at the same time as the counterpart coffee beverage named "Franziskaner": 'Kapuziner' shows up on coffee house menus all over the Habsburg Monarchy around this time, and is in 1805 described in a dictionary as 'coffee with cream and sugar'. Cappuccino as we write it today (in Italian) is first mentioned in northern Italy in the 1930s. By the mid-1990s cappuccino was made much more widely available to North Americans, as upscale coffee houses sprang up.
This new puzzle features a bunch of corn/maize ears. The word "corn" outside North America, Australia and New Zealand refers to any cereal crop. In the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, corn primarily means maize. In places outside North America, Australia, and New Zealand, corn often refers to maize in culinary contexts. Most historians believe maize was domesticated in the Tehuacan Valley of Mexico. After European contact with the Americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to Europe and introduced it to other countries. Maize spread to the rest of the world because of its ability to grow in diverse climates.

Hohensalzburg castle is one of the largest medieval castles in Europe. It is located in the Austrian city of Salzburg, atop the Festungsberg mountain. Construction of the fortress began in 1077 under Archbishop Gebhard von Helfenstein. The ring walls and towers were built in 1462 under Prince-Archbishop Burkhard II von Weißpriach. Prince-Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach during his term from 1495 until 1519 further expanded the castle. In the 19th century, it was used as barracks, storage depot and dungeon before being abandoned as a military outpost in 1861. Hohensalzburg castle was refurbished from the late 19th century onwards and became a major tourist attraction with the Festungsbahn cable car, opened in 1892, leading up from the town to the Hasengrabenbastei. It stands today as one of the best preserved castles in Europe.
In today's new puzzle we feature the zebra. Zebras are several species of African equids (horse family) commonly known by their distinctive black and white striped coats. There are three species of zebras: the plains zebra, the Grevy's zebra and the mountain zebra. So are the zebras black with white stripes or white with black stripes? Here's the answer: it was previously believed that zebras were white animals with black stripes, since some zebras have white underbellies; but embryological evidence, however, shows that the animal's background color is black and the white stripes and bellies are additions. Now you know, zebras are black with white stripes. Enjoy the puzzle.
