Title: Violet Clematis Flower Jigsaw Puzzle
About: The wild Clematis species native to China made their way into Japanese gardens in the 17th century. The Japanese garden selections reached European gardens, in the 18th century (the wild Chinese species were identified at the end of the 19th century). These plants are valued for their ability to scramble up walls and also to grow through other plants, such as shrubs and trees - the genus name is from Ancient Greek clematis, ("a climbing plant") - and their beautiful flowers as you can see in today's new jigsaw puzzle.
