About: The blue-gray tanager is a South American songbird (south Mexico, northeast Bolivia, northern Brazil and all the Amazon Basin). It's habitat consists of open woodland, cultivated areas and gardens. The blue-gray tanager eats mainly fruits, nectar and insects. There are 14 recognized subspecies, differing according to the exact hue of blue of the shoulder patch versus the rest of the plumage.
