Two Polar Bears Play

Two Polar Bears

A carnivorous bear native to the Arctic Circle, the polar bear, is a marine mammal (because it spends many months of the year at sea). Its diet primarily consists of ringed and bearded seals. The polar bear's most common hunting method is called still-hunting. The bear may lay in wait for several hours next to a seal breathing hole. When the seal exhales, the bear smells its breath, reaches into the hole with a forepaw, and drags it out onto the ice. The polar bear is an excellent swimmer and often will swim for days. When sprinting, it can reach up to 40 km/h.
The Lion Play

The Lion

Also known as the "king of the jungle" or "king of beasts" the lion (Panthera leo) is one of the five big cats in the genus Panthera. In today's new puzzle we feature a close-up of a male lion's face. Highly distinctive, the male lion is easily recognised by its mane.
Flamingos Play

Flamingos

Today's new jigsaw puzzle features a flock of beautiful pink flamingos. Young flamingos hatch with greyish reddish plumage, but adults range from light pink to bright red due to aqueous bacteria and beta carotene obtained from their food supply. A well-fed, healthy flamingo is more vibrantly coloured and thus a more desirable mate; a white or pale flamingo, however, is usually unhealthy or malnourished.
African Bush Elephant Play

African Bush Elephant

Also known as the African savanna elephant, the animal featured in today's new puzzle is the larger of the two species of African elephants. The bush elephant is much larger in height and weight, while the forest elephant has rounder ears and their trunk tends to be more hairy. African bush elephants have long tusks, up to eleven feet in length, which are used to help them adapt to their surroundings. They use their tusks for digging, fighting, marking, and feeding, and can lift objects up to 180 kg. Herds are made up of related females and their young, led by the eldest female, called the matriarch. Adult males usually live alone.
Bee-eaters Play

Bee-eaters

Found in Africa and Asia, with a few in southern Europe, Australia, and New Guinea, bee-eaters are characterized by richly colored plumage, slender bodies, and usually elongated central tail feathers. As their name suggests, bee-eaters predominantly eat flying insects, especially bees and wasps, which are caught in the air by flights from an open perch. Bee-eaters are fairly indiscriminate in their choice of habitat. Their requirements are simply an elevated perch from which to watch for prey and a suitable ground substrate in which to dig their breeding burrow. They are highly social, and pairs sitting or roosting together are often so close that they touch. In today's new puzzle we feature two such colorful birds sitting on a branch.

Ducks can be both outdoor and indoor companion animals.
