A male donkey or ass is called a jack, a female a jenny or jennet. Asses were first domesticated around 3000 BC, probably in Egypt or Mesopotamia. Donkeys have a notorious reputation for stubbornness, but this has been attributed to a much stronger sense of self-preservation than exhibited by horses.
Wasp Nest

Wasp Nest

Today's puzzle features a wasp working on it's nest. The type of nest produced by wasps can depend on the species and location. Wasps build nests predominantly from paper pulp. Unlike honey bees, wasps have no wax producing glands. Many instead create a paper-like substance primarily from wood pulp. Wood fibers are gathered locally from weathered wood, softened by chewing and mixing with saliva. The pulp is then used to make combs with cells.
Spotted Seals

Spotted Seals

The spotted seal inhabits ice floes and waters of the north Pacific Ocean and adjacent seas. It is primarily found along the continental shelf of the Beaufort, Chukchi, Bering and Okhotsk Seas and south to the northern Yellow Sea and it migrates south as far as northern Huanghai and the western Sea of Japan. Spotted seals are relatively shy and are difficult for humans to approach.

The plumage of the Greylag Goose is greyish-brown, with a darker head and paler belly with variable black spots.

With 12 recognized subspecies, the bobcat is common throughout southern Canada, the continental United States, and northern Mexico.
