About: The rose-ringed parakeet, also known as the ring-necked parakeet, is native to Africa and South Asia. In the wild, rose-ringed parakeets usually feed on buds, fruits, vegetables, nuts, berries, and seeds. Rose-ringed parakeets measure on average 40 cm (16 in) in length, including the tail feathers. The adult male sports a red and black neck ring, females and immature birds show no neck rings, or display shadow-like pale to dark grey neck rings. Rose-ringed parakeets are popular as pets. Both males and females have the ability to mimic human speech.

The rhesus macaque is brown or grey in color and has a pink face, which is bereft of fur. Its tail is of medium length and averages between 20.7 and 22.9 cm. Adult males measure approximately 53 cm (21 in) on average and weigh about 7.7 kg (17 lb). Females are smaller, averaging 47 cm (19 in) in length and 5.3 kg (12 lb) in weight. Rhesus macaques are native to northern India, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Nepal, Burma, Thailand, Afghanistan, Vietnam, southern China, and some neighboring areas.

Found in Africa and Asia, with a few in southern Europe, Australia, and New Guinea, bee-eaters are characterized by richly colored plumage, slender bodies, and usually elongated central tail feathers. As their name suggests, bee-eaters predominantly eat flying insects, especially bees and wasps, which are caught in the air by flights from an open perch. Bee-eaters are fairly indiscriminate in their choice of habitat. Their requirements are simply an elevated perch from which to watch for prey and a suitable ground substrate in which to dig their breeding burrow. They are highly social, and pairs sitting or roosting together are often so close that they touch. In today's new puzzle we feature two such colorful birds sitting on a branch.

In the US the deer are most populated on the Edwards Plateau in Texas.

Its propensity for feeding on the flowers and fruit of bananas in north Queensland has given it the common name of banana-bird.
