Piglets are vulnerable to attack from lynx, jungle cats and snow leopards and other carnivorans like brown bears and yellow-throated martens. That's why the never leave their mothers side in the first months of their live. Boars are typically social animals, living in female-dominated groups. The wild boar is a highly versatile omnivore, whose diversity in choice of food rivals that of humans.
