Sparrowhawk Play

Sparrowhawk

A free jigsaw puzzle featuring a pair of beautiful Sparrowhawks (Accipiter nisus). The Sparrowhawk is a small bird of prey in the family Accipitridae. Adult male Eurasian Sparrowhawks have bluish grey upperparts and orange-barred underparts; females and juveniles are brown above with brown barring below. The female is up to 25% larger than the male – one of the largest differences between the sexes in any bird species. Though it is a predator which specialises in catching woodland birds, the Eurasian Sparrowhawk can be found in any habitat and often hunts garden birds in towns and cities. Image based on artwork by the American zoologist Daniel Giraud Elliot (March 7, 1835 - December 22, 1915).
Small And Big Hens Play

Small And Big Hens

In today's new puzzle we feature two cute hens, a small black and brown one and a white and black big one. Chickens are social, inquisitive, intelligent birds. Humans keep chickens primarily as a source of food and, less commonly, as pets. Certain breeds, such as Silkies and many bantam varieties, are generally docile and are often recommended as good pets. In the UK and Ireland, adult male chickens over the age of one year are primarily known as cocks, whereas in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand, they are more commonly called roosters. Females over a year old are known as hens, and younger females as pullets.
North American Opossum Play

North American Opossum

In today's puzzle we feature the North American opossum; or The Virginia opossum (Didelphis virginiana) - the only marsupial found in North America north of Mexico. The Virginia opossum is found throughout Central America and North America east of the Rockies from Costa Rica to southern Ontario. This kind of opossum is known for reacting to threats by feigning death. This is the behavior from which the term "playing possum" comes from. Another distinctive characteristic is it's long, hairless, prehensile tail, which can be used to grab branches and carry small objects.
Snowy Owl Play

Snowy Owl

A fun puzzle featuring a snowy owl. The Snowy Owl is a large owl of the typical owl family Strigidae. The bird is also known in North America as the Arctic Owl, Great White Owl or Harfang. This yellow-eyed, black-beaked white bird is easily recognizable. It is 52–71 centimetres long, with a 125–150 centimetres wingspan. Also, these birds can weigh anywhere from 1.6 to 3 kilograms. It is one of the largest species of owl and, in North America, is on average the heaviest owl species. The adult male is virtually pure white, but females and young birds have some dark scalloping; the young are heavily barred, and dark spotting may even predominate. Its thick plumage, heavily feathered taloned feet, and colouration render the Snowy Owl well-adapted for life north of the Arctic Circle.

Deer Play

Deer

This jigsaw puzzle features a beautiful deer running around the forest on a carpet of autumn leafs. Deer are widely distributed, with indigenous representatives in all continents except Antarctica and Australia, though Africa has only one native species, the Red Deer, confined to the Atlas Mountains in the northwest of the continent. Deer live in a variety of biomes ranging from tundra to the tropical rainforest. While often associated with forests, many deer are ecotone species that live in transitional areas between forests and thickets (for cover) and prairie and savanna (open space). The majority of large deer species inhabit temperate mixed deciduous forest, mountain mixed coniferous forest, tropical seasonal/dry forest, and savanna habitats around the world.
Spotted Hyena Play

Spotted Hyena

This new puzzle features a spotted hyena. Spotted hyenas are the largest of three hyena species. Brown and striped hyenas are the other two. Spotted hyenas are famed scavengers and often dine on the leftovers of other bigger predators. But they are also skilled hunters. Although hyenas appear similar to dogs, they are actually more closely related to cats. They live throughout much of Africa and eastwards through Arabia to India.
Lionesses Resting Play

Lionesses Resting

In this puzzle we feature a group of lionesses resting in the shade after a day of hunting. If you didn't know, the lion(Panthera leo) is the most socially inclined of all wild felids, most of which remain quite solitary in nature, and have two types of social organisation. Some lions are residents, living in groups of related lionesses, their mates, and offspring. Such a group is called a pride. In prides, lionesses do most of the hunting. An adult lioness requires an average of about 5 kg of meat per day, a male about 7 kg.
Wolf in the Snow Play

Wolf in the Snow

If you didn't know, the wolf is one of the world's best known and well researched animals, with probably more books written about it than any other wildlife species. It is the largest extant member of the Canidae. The wolf has very dense and fluffy winter fur, with short underfur and long, coarse guard hairs that help it stay warm during the coldest days of winter. Coat color ranges from almost pure white through various shades of blond, cream, and ochre to grays, browns, and blacks, with variation in fur color tending to increase in higher latitudes.
Two Donkeys Play

Two Donkeys

Ever wanted to go for a ride on a donkey? This is your chance, click start and join us for a donkey ride with the two brown and grey donkeys featured in today's new jigsaw. A male donkey or ass is called a jack, a female a jenny or jennet. Asses were first domesticated around 3000 BC, probably in Egypt or Mesopotamia. Donkeys have a notorious reputation for stubbornness, but this has been attributed to a much stronger sense of self-preservation than exhibited by horses.
Two Goats Play

Two Goats

Today's puzzle of the day feature two cute goats eating grass. Goats are one of the oldest domesticated species, and have been used for their meat, milk, skins, and hair in most parts of the world. The goat is a member of the family Bovidae and is closely related to the sheep as both are in the goat-antelope subfamily Caprinae. Goats are extremely curious and intelligent animals. They are also very coordinated and widely known for their ability to climb in the most precarious places.
