Owl Eyes Play

Owl Eyes

Today's new jigsaw puzzle features a close-up of an owl's eyes. Owls have large forward-facing eyes and ear-holes; a hawk-like beak; a flat face; and usually a conspicuous circle of feathers, a facial disc, around each eye. Although owls have binocular vision, their large eyes are fixed in their sockets—as are those of other birds—so they must turn their entire head to change views. Owls can rotate their heads and necks as much as 270 degrees in either direction.

Goat Playing On Rocks

Goats are curious, agile and well known for their ability to climb and balance in precarious places. Goats explore anything new or unfamiliar in their surroundings, primarily with their prehensile upper lip and tongue, by nibbling at them, occasionally even eating them. They are notorious for escaping their pens by testing fences and enclosures, either intentionally or simply because they are used to climbing. Snow leopards are slightly smaller than the other big cats but, like them, exhibit a range of sizes, generally weighing between 27 and 55 kg, with an occasional large male reaching 75 kg and small female of under 25 kg. They have a relatively short body, measuring in length from the head to the base of the tail 75 to 130 centimeters. Snow leopards have long thick fur, and their base colour varies from smoky gray to yellowish tan, with whitish underparts. They have dark grey to black open rosettes on their body with small spots of the same color on their heads and larger spots on their legs and tail. Unusually among cats, their eyes are pale green or grey in color.

Seahorses are mainly found in shallow tropical and temperate waters throughout the world. They are named for their equine appearance with bent necks and long snouted heads followed by their distinctive trunk and tail. They range in size from 1.5 to 35.5 cm. Since they are poor swimmers, they are most likely to be found resting with their prehensile tails wound around a stationary object.
