Burana Tower Puzzle Details:

About: Today we're visiting the Burana Tower - a large minaret in the Chuy Valley in northern Kyrgyzstan. The tower was built in the 11th century and was used as a template. The tower, along with grave markers, some earthworks and the remnants of a castle and three mausoleums, is all that remains of the ancient city of Balasagun. The tower was originally 45 m high, but over the centuries a number of earthquakes destroyed the top half of the tower, reducing it to its current height of 25 m.

The Great Wall stretches from Shanhaiguan in the east, to Lop Lake in the west, along an arc that roughly delineates the southern edge of Inner Mongolia. A comprehensive archaeological survey, using advanced technologies, has concluded that the Ming walls measure 8,850 km. Three Skyscrapers

Three Skyscrapers

When the term, skyscraper, was originally used in the 1880s it described a building of 10 to 20 floors but now describes one of at least 40–50 floors. One common feature of skyscrapers is having a steel framework that supports curtain walls. Modern skyscrapers' walls are not load-bearing, and most skyscrapers are characterized by large surface areas of windows made possible by steel frames and curtain walls. Skyscrapers are usually situated in city centers where the price of land is high. Constructing a skyscraper becomes justified if the price of land is so high that it makes economic sense to build upwards as to minimize the cost of the land per the total floor area of a building.
