About: This beautiful chateau is located in south Bohemia, Czech Republic. It stands at the middle of a lake on a rocky island. The four-winged two storey chateau, with a small courtyard in the center, occupies the whole rock and juts into the fishpond. A stone bridge, built in 1622, links the chateau with the banks of the pond. Its name Červená Lhota meaning "red lhota" can be explained by the color of the chateau's bright-red roof tiles and walls.

This beautiful nineteenth-century palace is located on a steep hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria, Germany was commissioned by Ludwig II as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner (a German composer, theatre director, polemicist, and conductor who is primarily known for his operas). In the nineteenth century, many castles were constructed or reconstructed, often with significant changes to make them more picturesque. The building design was drafted by the stage designer Christian Jank and realized by the architect Eduard Riedel. The foundation stone for the palace was laid on September 5, 1869. The castle was erected as a conventional brick construction and later encased in various types of rock. Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle complex is located on the Aragvi River in Georgia. The fortifications consist of two castles joined by a crenelated curtain wall. Within the complex, among other buildings, are two churches. The older Church of the Virgin, which abuts a tall square tower. It dates from the first half of the 17th century, and was built of brick. The larger Church of the Mother of God, is a central dome style structure with richly decorated facades, including a carved north entrance and a carved grapevine cross on the south facade.
