About: In this new puzzle we are visting Nesvizh Castle, a residential castle of the Radziwiłł family in Niasviž, Belarus. The foundation stone of Nesvizh Palace was laid in 1584 and it was rebuilt many times. In the late 19th century Nesvizh Palace was restored by the Radziwil family who also designed one of largest landscape gardens in Europe on the estate. In 1994 the estate was designated the national historical and cultural reserve and in 2006 it was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The château's most prominent feature is the grand central staircase, the escalier d'honneur. Its design is thought to have been inspired by the staircase of the Château de Châteaudun, which it resembles. Azay-le-Rideau's staircase rises in straight flights rather than in a spiral, as was more usual at this time, and is the oldest surviving staircase of this kind in France.

The palace was the home of the dukes and grand dukes of Mecklenburg and Mecklenburg-Schwerin for hundreds of years. The first records of a castle at this location date from AD 973. A third of the palace was destroyed in 1913 by a fire but it was reconstructed. Starting in the 1950 it has been a college for kindergarten teachers, a museum and since 1990 is has once again been a the seat of he state assembly of the State of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

This beautiful nineteenth-century palace is located on a steep hill above the village of Hohenschwangau in southwest Bavaria, Germany was commissioned by Ludwig II as a retreat and as a homage to Richard Wagner (a German composer, theatre director, polemicist, and conductor who is primarily known for his operas). In the nineteenth century, many castles were constructed or reconstructed, often with significant changes to make them more picturesque. The building design was drafted by the stage designer Christian Jank and realized by the architect Eduard Riedel. The foundation stone for the palace was laid on September 5, 1869. The castle was erected as a conventional brick construction and later encased in various types of rock. It is furnished, as you can see in this fun new puzzle, with numerous towers, ornamental turrets, gables, balconies, pinnacles and sculptures. If it looks familiar it's because it served as a model for the Sleeping Beauty Castle of Disneyland.
