About: Schloss Schönbühel is a castle dating from the early 12th century. The castle is in located the Lower Austrian town of Schönbühel-Aggsbach, below Melk on the right bank of the Danube. It was built in the early 12th century by Marchwardus de Schoenbuchele as a defensive fortress.

Inveraray Castle is a country house near Inveraray in the county of Argyll, in western Scotland, on the shore of Loch Fyne. This castle, built in the Gothic Revival style, replaced an earlier 15th-century castle. Work on the current building began in 1743. In 1975 a devastating fire struck Inveraray and for some time the 12th Duke and his family lived in the castle's basement, while restorations requiring a worldwide fundraising drive were carried out. he 13th Duke and his family live in private apartments occupying two floors and set between two of the four crenellated circular towers. Parts of the castle are open to visitors.

Today's new jigsaw takes us to the beautiful coast of the Mediterranean Sea in Dubrovnik, Croatia. The impressive building on the rocky seashore in the top left corner of the puzzle image is Fort Lovrijenac ( or St. Lawrence Fortress). Often called "Dubrovnik's Gibraltar",the fortress is located outside the western wall of the city. It stands 37 m above sea level. Lovrijenac has a triangular shape with three terraces. The thickness of the walls facing the outside reach 12 m. On the right side of the image (where you can see a medieval canon) you can also see part of Fort Bokar.

Located in Hluboká nad Vltavou, the Hluboká Castle is considered one of the most beautiful castles in the Czech Republic. A Gothic castle was built on the same site in the second half of the 13th century and it was rebuilt several times. It reached its current appearance during the 19th century, when Johann Adolf II von Schwarzenberg ordered the reconstruction of the castle in the romantic style of England's Windsor Castle. Architects Franz Beer and F. Deworetzky built a the Romantic Neo-Gothic chateau featured in this puzzle from 1841 to 1871, and surrounded it by a 1.9-square-kilometre English park. Situated on the cliffs at Highcliffe, Dorset, the castle featured in today's jigsaw was built between 1831 and 1835 by Charles Stuart. The Highcliffe Castle was built in aGothic Revival style on the site of High Cliff house, a Georgian Mansion designed for the 3rd Earl of Bute. The design incorporates large quantities of carved Medieval stonework salvaged from the Norman Benedictine Abbey of St Peter at Jumieges and the Grande Maison des Andelys.

This beautiful chateau is located in south Bohemia, Czech Republic. It stands at the middle of a lake on a rocky island. The four-winged two storey chateau, with a small courtyard in the center, occupies the whole rock and juts into the fishpond. A stone bridge, built in 1622, links the chateau with the banks of the pond. Its name Červená Lhota meaning "red lhota" can be explained by the color of the chateau's bright-red roof tiles and walls.

The town was originally an Old Prussian settlement known as Lecbarg until being conquered in 1240 by the Teutonic Knights, who named it Heilsberg. In 1306 it became the seat for the Bishopric of Warmia. Nicolaus Copernicus lived at the castle for several years, and it is believed he wrote part of his De revolutionibus orbium coelestium there.

The Golubac Fortress was a medieval fortified town on the south side of the Danube River, 4 km (2.5 mi) downstream from the modern-day town of Golubac, Serbia. It is strategically located on the embankment of the Danube River where it narrows to form the Iron Gate gorge. It was the last military outpost on that stretch of the Danube river, which caused it to frequently be part of the final line of defense between Hungary and the Ottoman Empire. The fortress consists of three main compounds guarded by 9 towers, 2 portcullises and a palace, all connected by fortress walls 2 to 3 m thick.

Ananuri was a castle and seat of the eristavis (Dukes) of Aragvi, a feudal dynasty which ruled the area from the 13th century. The castle complex is located on the Aragvi River in Georgia. The fortifications consist of two castles joined by a crenelated curtain wall. Within the complex, among other buildings, are two churches. The older Church of the Virgin, which abuts a tall square tower. It dates from the first half of the 17th century, and was built of brick. The larger Church of the Mother of God, is a central dome style structure with richly decorated facades, including a carved north entrance and a carved grapevine cross on the south facade.

Although Linderhof is much smaller than Versailles, it is evident that the palace of the French Sun-King Louis XIV was its inspiration. It is the smallest of the three palaces built by King Ludwig II of Bavaria. The building was designed in the style of the second rococo-period. The gardens surrounding the palace are considered one of the most beautiful creations of historicist garden design, designed by Court Garden Director Carl von Effner.
