Still Life with Cheeses, Almonds and Pretzels Puzzle Details:

About: Today's puzzle is based on the painting with the same name by the Dutch artist Clara Peeters. If you didn't know, Clara Peeters specialised in still lifes with beautiful objects, delicious fruits and expensive food. This type of still life is called "banketje" (banquet) in Dutch. In this painting, in addition to the objects named in the title, there are also curls of butter, figs, a bread roll, a gold-plated Venetian glass, Chinese Wanli porcelain, a silver knife and more. If you look close you can see that Peeters has painted her signature in the handle of the silver knife.

Fruit, Flowers And A Cup Of Tea

Time for a nice cup of tea, a good book or a relaxing jigsaw puzzle and a piece of delicious fruit. You can have all of the above in today's art inspired game -featuring a still life painting by Henri Fantin Latour ( a French painter and lithographer best known for his flower paintings and group portraits of Parisian artists and writers).
River Landscape With Deer

River Landscape With Deer

A fun and challenging jigsaw based on Frederick Arthur Bridgman's River Landscape With Deer painting. Frederick Arthur Bridgman (November 10, 1847 - January 13, 1928) was an American artist known for his paintings of "Orientalist" subjects.
Lady and Gentleman on Horseback

Lady and Gentleman on Horseback

This new puzzle is based on a painting by Aelbert Cuyp (Dutch, 1620 - 1691). This double portrait on horseback is unique in Dutch art and seventeenth-century Europe, because equestrian likenesses usually were reserved for individual monarchs.
The Postman

The Postman

Today's puzzle is based on Vincent Van Gogh's 1888 painting with the same name. Joseph Roulin, the main character of this painting, was a postal employee in Arles, became a surrogate "big brother" for the artist, caring for Vincent during the major onset of mental illness that came in 1888, and seeing him through the asylum months of early 1889.
Boat Builder

Boat Builder

Another art inspired puzzle is here. This new one is based on John George Brown's 1904 oil on canvas painting with the same name. In the "Boat Builder", Brown depicts an elderly craftsman working with hand tools in his small workshop while his dog is sleeping at his feet.
Fishing in Spring, the Pont de Clichy

Fishing in Spring, the Pont de Clichy

This new art themed puzzle is base on Vincent van Gogh's 1887 oil on canvas painting called Fishing in Spring, the Pont de Clichy (Asnières). The setting of this work is the Seine River at the Pont de Clichy, near Asnières. The Seine has been an integral part of Parisian life for centuries for commerce, travel and entertainment and it has been the subject and location of the paintings that Vincent van Gogh made in 1887. Longing for tranquil settings, van Gogh began to paint beyond the city fortifications and along the banks of the Seine, in Asnières and the island of Grand Jatte. He experimented with a lighter, more colorful palette than used in his early Dutch paintings or Montmartre series.
The Adoration of the Kings

The Adoration of the Kings

Another art themed puzzle is here. Today we feature a painting by Hugo van der Goes (circa 1440-1482) called The Adoration of the Kings (Monforte Altar). The altar's appellation derives from its stay in the monastery of Monforte de Lemos in northern Spain, where it was presumably taken in the 16th century.
Journey of the Magi

Journey of the Magi

Painted in 1894 the "Journey of the Magi" is one of the most famous paintings of James Tissot. Tissot was born in Nantes, France. In about 1856, he began study at the Ecole des Beaux-Arts in Paris under Hippolyte Flandrin and Lamothe, and became friendly with Edgar Degas and James Abbott McNeill Whistler.
American Homestead In Winter

American Homestead In Winter

Based on a hand-colored lithograph on wove paper by Currier & Ives from 1868-1869 today's puzzle depicts a typical American homestead during winter in the 1800s.
In a Roman Osteria

In a Roman Osteria

This new puzzle is based on the "In a Roman Osteria" painting by the Danish painter Carl Bloch. This painting was inspired by a similar painting by his teacher, Wilhelm Marstrand (1810-1873); specifically his beautiful "Italian Osteria Scene" from 1848. The painting was commissioned by the merchant Moritz G. Melchior and it was painted in 1866. Moritz is included in the background of the painting. The man in the white shirt looking around at the viewer is Bloch himself.
The Peasant Dance

The Peasant Dance

This new puzzle is based on Pieter Bruegel the Elder's oil-on-panel painting "The Peasant Dance". The lively peasant scene provides the viewer with a glimpse of social history, but it is likely that Bruegel intended this painting to have a moral sense rather than simply being an affectionate portrayal of peasant life. The panel, neither signed nor dated, was painted circa 1567, at about the same time as "The Peasant Wedding".
Street Scene In Morocco

Street Scene In Morocco

Another great famous painting jigsaw based on "A Street Scene In Morocco" by Frederick Arthur Bridgman (November 10, 1847 – January 13, 1928).
