About: The Cloaca Maxima is one of the world's earliest sewage systems. Constructed in Ancient Rome in order to drain local marshes and remove the waste of one of the world's most populous cities, it carried effluent to the River Tiber, which ran beside the city. This puzzle is based on a painting with the same name by Christoffer Wilhelm Eckersberg (2 January 1783 – 22 July 1853) - a Danish painter.
