In the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, corn primarily means maize. In places outside North America, Australia, and New Zealand, corn often refers to maize in culinary contexts. Most historians believe maize was domesticated in the Tehuacan Valley of Mexico. After European contact with the Americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to Europe and introduced it to other countries. Maize spread to the rest of the world because of its ability to grow in diverse climates.
A quesadilla is a flour or corn tortilla filled with a savoury mixture containing cheese and other ingredients, then folded in half. Today's puzzle features an exotic fruit - the breadfruit. It grows throughout Southeast Asia and most Pacific Ocean islands. Its name is derived from the texture of the cooked fruit, which has a potato-like flavor, similar to fresh-baked bread. Breadfruit can be eaten once cooked, or can be further processed into a variety of other foods. A common product is a mixture of cooked or fermented breadfruit mash mixed with coconut milk and baked in banana leaves.

Chocolate Chip Muffins
Today we're featuring some delicious chocolate chip muffins. The typical American muffin is similar to a cupcake in size and cooking methods. The English muffin is a type of yeast-leavened bread; generally about 10 cm round and 3.8 cm tall. Rather than being oven-baked, they are cooked in a griddle on the stove top and flipped from side-to-side, which results in their typical flattened shape rather than the rounded top seen in baked rolls or cake-type muffins.
Tri-Colored Fusilli Pasta
In today's new puzzle we're going out for some pasta. Fusilli are long, thick, corkscrew shaped pasta. The word fusilli presumably comes from fuso, as traditionally it is "spun" by pressing and rolling a small rod over the thin strips of pasta to wind them around it in a corkscrew shape.
