The radish is an edible root vegetable of the Brassicaceae family that was domesticated in Europe, in pre-Roman times. Radishes have numerous varieties, varying in size, color and duration of required cultivation time. Broadly speaking, radishes can be categorized into four main types (summer, fall, winter, and spring) and a variety of shapes lengths, colors, and sizes, such as red, pink, white, gray-black or yellow radishes, with round or elongated roots that can grow longer than a parsnip.
Let's start the day with a plate of delicious strawberry pancakes and a relaxing jigsaw puzzle. Pumpkins, like other squash, are thought to have originated in North America. The oldest evidence, pumpkin-related seeds dating between 7000 and 5500 BC, was found in Mexico. Most pumpkins are orange because of the high amounts of lutein, alpha- and beta- carotene but they also come in white and dark green. Most parts of the pumpkin are edible, including the fleshy shell, the seeds, the leaves, and even the flowers. When ripe, the pumpkin can be boiled, steamed, or roasted.

An apple a day may not keep the doctor away, as the proverb goes, but it's certainly a healthy choice. Apples are a good source of fiber and vitamin C. Apple nutrients are disproportionately present in the skin, which is a particularly valuable part of the fruit with respect to its nutrient content - so don't peel your apples if you want to get the maximum nutrients from your apples.
Bay Bolete Mushrooms
Today we're cooking a bay boletestew from this freshly picked wild mushrooms. This kind of mushrooms are found in Europe and North America, where it grows in coniferous or mixed woods on the ground or on decaying tree stumps. They have a chestnut to dark brown cap, which is almost spherical in young specimens before broadening and flattening out to a diameter of up to 15 cm. The flesh is mostly whitish or yellowish in some places; underneath the cap cuticle, it is brownish-pink or reddish brown.
