The lentil is grown around the world as food crop. It is an annual plant known for its edible lens-shaped seeds. The seeds grow in pods, usually with two seeds in each. Lentils can be eaten boiled, soaked, germinated, fried or baked. Split lentils are often cooked into a thick curry/gravy that is usually eaten with rice.

Freshly Picked Walnuts

Today we feature a lots and lots of freshly picked walnuts. Walnuts can be eaten raw, toasted or pickled or used as an ingredient of a dishes like: walnut pie, walnut soup, cakes, brownies, baklava, fudge and more. Walnuts are rich in several dietary minerals, particularly manganese, and B vitamins.

Fettuccine And Penne Pasta

This morning we're in the kitchen getting ready to cook some pasta. We can choose between fettuccine or penne. What is your favorite? If you didn't know, fettuccine is a type of pasta made of egg and flour. Individual pieces of fettuccine are long, flat ribbons that are curled up into small balls. The other type of pasta we have is penne, an extruded type of pasta with cylinder-shaped pieces. Penne is traditionally cooked al dente and its shape makes it particularly adapted for sauces, such as pesto, marinara, or arrabbiata.

Fresh Plums

In today's puzzle we feature some delicious freshly picked plums. It is believed that plums may have been one of the first fruits domesticated by humans. They can be eaten fresh or turned into jams, juices, dried and used as ingredients in various foods and desserts. Some varieties may have a dusty-white waxy coating that makes them look like they are covered with a powdery bloom, you can clearly see it on the plums featured in this puzzle.

Gummies, gummi candies, gummy candies, or jelly sweets are a type of candy that are typically small, chewy, and shaped like various objects, such as animals, fruit, or people. They are made by combining sugar, water, and gelatin, and then heating the mixture until it becomes a thick syrup. The syrup is then poured into molds and left to cool and set. Gummies are popular with people of all ages. They come in a wide variety of flavors, colors, and shapes, and they can be found in almost any grocery store or candy shop.

Grab a hot cup of tea, some delicious biscuits and relax with today's puzzle. If you didn't know, tea is the second most consumed beverage on Earth after water, in many cultures it is also consumed at social events, such as the tea party. Have fun!

Milton, Goldoni And Victoria Peaches

Today's new puzzle is based on a vintage illustration from The Fruit Grower's Guide (1891) by John Wright. It depicts three peach cultivars popular at the time. Hundreds of peach and nectarine cultivars are known. Peach breeding has favored cultivars with more firmness, more red color, and shorter fuzz on the fruit surface. Peaches are eaten raw, dried, made into jams and preserves or turned into juice.

Bruschetta

If you didn't know, Bruschetta is starter dish from Italy consisting of grilled bread rubbed with garlic and topped with olive oil, tomatoes, basil, vegetables, beans, cured meat, or cheese. Bruschetta originated in Italy during 15th century and it was developed as a way of salvaging bread that was going stale. The noun bruschetta comes from the Roman dialect verb bruscare, the equivalent which means "to toast", or "to roast over coals".

Fresh Cooking Ingredients

The ingredients are ready, we just need to start cooking. In this food themed puzzle we feature a table full of fresh ingredients: tomatoes, cheese, chicken meat, chopped onions, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil and more. Juicy Pears

Start the day with a juicy pear and a fun and relaxing puzzle. If you didn't know, pears are consumed fresh, canned, as juice, or dried. There are about 3000 known varieties of pears and they are all harvested in late Summer - early Autumn every year. Pears are gathered before they are fully ripe, while they are still green, but snap off when lifted. They can be stored at room temperature until ripe.
