The Augustus Bridge was built between 1907 and 1910 and it crosses the river Elbe.here has been a bridge at the same location since at least the 12th century. The Dresden Frauenkirche (Church of Our Lady) is a Lutheran church and an outstanding example of Protestant sacred architecture, featuring one of the largest domes in Europe. Built in the 18th century, the church was destroyed in the bombing of Dresden during World War II. The church was rebuilt after the reunification of Germany, starting in 1994. The northern side of Nyhavn is lined by brightly colored townhouses built with wood, bricks, and plaster.
