View From The Great Wall of China

View From The Great Wall of China

In today's new puzzle we're going to visit the Great Wall of China. If you didn't know, the Great Wall of China is the collective name of a series of fortification systems generally built across the historical northern borders of China. Apart from defense, other purposes of the Great Wall have included border controls, allowing the imposition of duties on goods transported along the Silk Road, regulation or encouragement of trade and the control of immigration and emigration. Before the use of bricks, the Great Wall was mainly built from rammed earth, stones, and wood. During the Ming, however, bricks were heavily used in many areas of the wall, as were materials such as tiles, lime, and stone. Archaeological surveys found that the entire wall with all of its branches measures out to be 21,196 km (13,171 mi). So are you waiting for? Click start, solve this fun new puzzle and see one of the most impressive architectural feats in history.

Glaciers slowly deform and flow due to stresses induced by their weight, creating crevasses, seracs, and carve deep glacial vallies like the one featured in today's puzzle.

Santorini From Above

Santorini From Above

Santorini is an island in the southern Aegean Sea, about 200 kmsoutheast of Greece's mainland. The island was named by the Latin Empire in the thirteenth century, and is a reference to Saint Irene, from the name of the old cathedral in the village of Perissa – the name Santorini is a contraction of the name Santa Irini. The traditional architecture of Santorini, some of which you can see in this fun new puzzle, is similar to that of the other Cyclades, with low-lying cubical houses, made of local stone and whitewashed or limewashed with various volcanic ashes used as colors. Santorini's primary industry is tourism.
