About: Vernazza is one of the five towns that make up the Cinque Terre region in the province of La Spezia, Liguria, northwestern Italy. The town has no car traffic, and remains one of the truest "fishing villages" on the Italian Riviera. The first records recognizing Vernazza as a fortified town date to 1080. In 1997, the Cinque Terre was recognised as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and in 1999 the National Park of the Cinque Terre was created. As you might of guessed from the beautiful image in this puzzle, today the main source of revenue for Vernazza is tourism. So what are you waiting for? On this type of mill only the cap is rotated rather than the whole body of the mill. The cap can be turned into the wind either by winches or gearing inside the cap or from a winch on the tail pole outside the mill. A method of keeping the cap and sails into the wind automatically is by using a fantail, a small windmill mounted at right angles to the sails, at the rear of the windmill.
