Brightly Colored Fabrics Puzzle Details:

About: Fabrics or textiles are formed by weaving, knitting, crocheting, knotting, or felting. The word 'fabric' derives from Latin, most recently from the Middle French fabrique, or 'building, thing made', and earlier as the Latin fabrica 'workshop; an art, trade; a skilful production, structure, fabric'. Textiles have an assortment of uses, the most common of which are for clothing. They are made from many materials, with four main sources: animal (wool, silk), plant (cotton, flax, jute), mineral (glass fibre), and synthetic (nylon, polyester, acrylic). In this puzzle we feature an assortment of brightly colored fabrics ready to be turned into beautiful clothes. Think you can solve this jigsaw? Click start and give it a try!

Colorful World Globe Closeup

Colorful World Globe Closeup

Globes serve similar purposes to maps, but unlike maps, do not distort the surface that they portray except to scale it down. Flat maps are created using a map projection that inevitably introduces an increasing amount of distortion the larger the area that the map shows. The sphericity of the Earth was established by Greek astronomy in the 3rd century BC, and the earliest terrestrial globe appeared from that period. Traditionally, globes were manufactured by gluing a printed paper map onto a sphere, often made from wood. Usually a globe is mounted so that its spin axis is 23.5° from vertical, which is the angle the Earth's spin axis deviates from perpendicular to the plane of its orbit. In today's new puzzle we can see part of such a globe - we can see Europe, parts of north Africa and east Asia. Pick a difficulty level and start putting the colorful countries back together and relax with today's new puzzle. Have fun!
