About: If you didn't know, dice are small, throwable objects with marked sides that are used for generating random numbers. They are commonly as part of different types of tabletop games, including dice games, board games, role-playing games, and games of chance. The traditional die (featured in this puzzle) is a cube with each of its six faces marked with a different number of dots from one to six. Dice may also have more complex and irregular shapes (polyhedral) and may have faces marked with numerals or symbols instead of pips (dots).

It's goblet shape suggests that it originally may have been created from a mortar (mortar and pestle are implements used since ancient times to prepare ingredients or substances by crushing and grinding them into a fine paste or powder).

Although Ginkgo biloba and other species of the genus were once widespread throughout the world, its range shrank and by two million years ago, it was restricted to a small area of China. For centuries, it was thought to be extinct in the wild, but is now known to grow in at least two small areas in Zhejiang province in eastern China, in the Tianmushan Reserve.
