Old Gas Pumps Puzzle Details:
About: If you didn't know, the first gasoline pump was invented and sold by Sylvanus Bowser in Fort Wayne, Indiana on September 5, 1885. The pump was not used for automobiles, as they had not been invented yet. It was instead used for some kerosene lamps and stoves. Many early gasoline pumps had a calibrated glass cylinder on top. The desired quantity of fuel was pumped up into the cylinder as indicated by the calibration. Then the pumping was stopped and the gasoline was let out into the customer's tank by gravity.

This puzzle features a sailor handling mooring lines. A Mooring refers to any permanent structure to which a vessel may be secured. Examples include quays, a wharfs, jetties, piers, anchor buoys, and mooring buoys. A ship is secured to a mooring to forestall free movement of the ship on the water. Mooring is often accomplished using thick ropes called mooring lines or hawsers. The lines are fixed to deck fittings on the vessel at one end, and fittings on the shore, such as bollards, rings, or cleats, on the other end. Mooring lines are usually made out of synthetic materials such as nylon. Nylon is easy to work with and lasts for years, but has a property of very great elasticity.

Red Electric Guitar
An electric guitar is a guitar that uses a pickup (a transducer (specifically a variable reluctance sensor) that captures or senses mechanical vibrations) to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical impulses. The signal generated by an electric guitar is too weak to drive a loudspeaker, so it is plugged into a guitar amplifier before being sent to loudspeakers. Invented in 1931, the amplified electric guitar was adopted by jazz guitarists. During the 1950s and 1960s, the electric guitar became the most important instrument in pop music.
