About: Today we're at the porcelain shop looking for an new tea set. Start this fun game and join us while we browse through the different porcelain items. If you didn't know, a tea set or tea service is a set of dishes sold in a group for use at afternoon tea or a formal tea party and it includes up to 25 pieces (usually made out of porcelain). Porcelain slowly evolved in China and was finally achieved at some point about 2,000 to 1,200 years ago, then slowly spread to other East Asian countries, and finally Europe and the rest of the world. Chinese porcelains were held in such great esteem in Europe that in English china became a commonly–used synonym for the Italian term porcelain. The name, porcelain in English, come from the old Italian porcellana (cowrie shell) because of its resemblance to the translucent surface of the shell.
