Spruce Cones

A spruce is a coniferous evergreen tree found in the northern temperate and boreal (taiga) regions of the earth. Spruces are large trees, from 20–60 metres tall when mature, and can be distinguished by their whorled branches and conical form. A cone is an organ on plants in the division Pinophyta (conifers) that contains the reproductive structures. The familiar woody cone is the female cone, which produces seeds. The male cones, which produce pollen, are usually herbaceous and much less conspicuous even at full maturity. The name "cone" derives from the fact that the shape in some species resembles a geometric cone.

Sailing Boats

A sail boat is a boat propelled partly or entirely by sails smaller than a sailing ship. Traditional sailboats are monohulls, but multi-hull catamarans and trimarans are gaining popularity. Most modern monohull boats have fin keels, which are heavy and deep, but short in relation to the hull length. More traditional yachts carried a full keel which is generally half or more of the length of the boat. In today's new puzzle we feature lots of sailing boats on a calm blue sea.

Dubrovnik Old Town Play

Dubrovnik Old Town

Dubrovnik is the most prominent tourist destinations in the Mediterranean Sea, a seaport and the centre of Dubrovnik-Neretva County. The names Dubrovnik and Ragusa co-existed for several centuries. Ragusa, recorded in various forms since at least the 10th century, remained the official name of the Republic of Ragusa until 1808, and of the city within the Kingdom of Dalmatia until 1918, while Dubrovnik, first recorded in the late 12th century, was in widespread use by the late 16th or early 17th century. According to Constantine Porphyrogenitus's De Administrando Imperio (c. 950), Ragusa was founded in the 7th century, named for a "rocky island" called Lausa, by refugees from Epidaurum (Ragusa Vecchia), a Greek city situated some 15 km to the south, when that city was destroyed in the Slavic incursions. The city boasts of many old buildings, such as the Arboretum Trsteno, the oldest arboretum in the world, dating back to before 1492. Also, the third oldest European pharmacy is located in the city, which dates back to 1317. A feature of Dubrovnik is its walls that run almost 2 kilometers around the city. The system of turrets and towers were intended to protect the vulnerable city. The walls of Dubrovnik have also been a popular filming location for the fictional city of King's Landing in the HBO television series, Game of Thrones.

Red Electric Guitar Play

Red Electric Guitar

An electric guitar is a guitar that uses a pickup (a transducer (specifically a variable reluctance sensor) that captures or senses mechanical vibrations) to convert the vibration of its strings into electrical impulses. The signal generated by an electric guitar is too weak to drive a loudspeaker, so it is plugged into a guitar amplifier before being sent to loudspeakers. Invented in 1931, the amplified electric guitar was adopted by jazz guitarists. During the 1950s and 1960s, the electric guitar became the most important instrument in pop music.

In this fun new puzzle we feature lots and lots of colorful, overlapping question marks in different positions and rotations. If you didn't know, the question mark ( ? ) (also known as interrogation point, query)is a punctuation mark that indicates an interrogative clause or phrase in many languages. In English, the question mark typically occurs at the end of a sentence, where it replaces the full stop (period). However, the question mark may also occur at the end of a clause or phrase, where it replaces the comma. In Spanish, since the second edition of the Ortografía of the Real Academia Española in 1754, interrogatives require both opening (¿) and closing (?) question marks. In Arabic and other languages that use Arabic script such as Persian and Urdu, which are written from right to left, the question mark is mirrored right-to-left from the English question mark.
