In today's new puzzle we're visiting Crystal Mill, an 1892 wooden powerhouse located on the Crystal River in Crystal, Colorado, United States. This old watermill was actually a compressor station. If you didn't already know, pineapples grow as a small shrub and are indigenous to South America. The individual flowers the unpollinated pineapple plant fuse to form a multiple fruit - the pineapple fruit featured in this puzzle. Mother anteaters carry their offspring on their backs until weaning them.

This painting was inspired by a similar painting by his teacher, Wilhelm Marstrand (1810-1873); specifically his beautiful "Italian Osteria Scene" from 1848. The painting was commissioned by the merchant Moritz G. Melchior and it was painted in 1866. Moritz is included in the background of the painting. The man in the white shirt looking around at the viewer is Bloch himself.

This puzzle is based on a watercolor on paper painting by Miner Kilbourne Kellogg, an American painter, art historian and art collector.
