The artist probably painted this scene on the Cote d'Azur in southern France. Next to the two women we can see a small white dog resting, in the distance a small child playing and in the the background some boats sailing on the calm blue waters of the sea.

The focal point of today's puzzle is a beautiful black crow perched on a blue fence. Known for their high intelligence and problem-solving abilities, black crows have earned a reputation as crafty and resourceful birds. Their adaptability to various environments, coupled with their keen observational skills, has allowed them to thrive in urban landscapes as well as natural habitats. They are social animals, often forming tight-knit family groups and exhibiting complex communication skills.

The king eider spends most of the year in coastal marine ecosystems at high latitudes, and migrates to Arctic tundra to breed in June and July. It is a large sea duck, measuring 50–70 cm (20–28 in) in length with a wingspan of 86–102 cm (34–40 in). The male is unmistakable with its mostly black body, buff-tinged white breast and multicolored head. The head, nape and neck are a pale bluish grey. The cheek is pale green. The bill, separated from the face by a thin black line, is red with a white nail and a large, distinctive yellow knob. This puzzle is based on an illustration from Birds of America (1827) by John James Audubon.
