About: Now known as the tricolored heron, the Louisiana heron, is a small species of heron native to coastal parts of the Americas. This species of heron breeds in swamps and other coastal habitats. Adults have a blue-grey head, neck, back, and upper wings, with a white line along the neck. Their belly is white. This puzzle is based on hand-colored engraving and aquatint on Whatman wove paper by Robert Havell after John James Audubon in the series The Birds of America.
