Still Life with Apples and Pears by Paul Cézanne showcases his mastery of color, form, and perspective. The painting features apples and pears arranged on a wooden table, some placed on white plates, creating a structured yet natural composition. Cézanne’s visible brushstrokes give the fruit a sense of weight and texture, while the warm tones of the apples and pears contrast with the cooler hues of the walls in the background. The perspective is deliberately skewed, making the table appear slightly tilted, a hallmark of Cézanne’s innovative approach to space.

"The Harvesters" is a celebrated painting by Pieter Bruegel the Elder, completed in 1565 as part of a series depicting the months of the year. This work specifically represents late summer, likely August or September, capturing the essence of rural life during the harvest season. Its composition leads the viewer's eye across a beautifully detailed landscape, from the wheat fields in the foreground to the distant village and ships on the horizon. The workers in the foreground are shown in a variety of activities: some are actively cutting wheat, while others take a break, eating and resting under the shade of a tree. Bruegel's use of color and texture captures the warmth of late summer, with golden fields and a soft, hazy sky. The meticulous attention to the natural environment, combined with the realism of the figures, reflects Bruegel's mastery in portraying both landscape and human activity.
